How much does it cost?
We offer a number of different options to cover everything from one-off jobs through to long term support contracts. We can either work by the hour or by fixed price for project work. Prices vary by how big the job is and whether it is onsite or we can work from our office. Please contact us for a quote.
What is the smallest job you will do?
For existing clients our minimum is one hour of work. For new clients our minimum job is 4 hours.
How do you quote for project work?
For projects we normally give you a fixed price quote for producing a functional specification and a ballpark estimate for the whole project. Once we have done the analysis and design work we give you a completed functional specification with a fixed quote to complete the project. This allows you to see exactly what you will get and mitigate the risks of the project.
What is your response rate?
We have 3 levels of urgency. For established clients the response times are:
- Business Critical: Within 4 hours.
- Urgent: Within 1 business day.
- Scheduled: Within one month.
Note that these are the times we will start work on the issue - we cannot say when we will finish.
Which geographic areas do you support?
All over the world. Our main office is based just south of Sydney, Australia with a second office near Birmingham, UK. We use email, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Skype, VOIP, video conferencing and telephone to ascertain your requirements and provide regular feedback. Contact us for further details.
Do you provide any guarantees?
We guarantee our work for one month after delivery. If there are any problems with our work during this period we will fix it for free. We cannot guarantee 3rd party products but will assist you in getting those problems resolved. Note we carry professional indemnity insurance.
For optimisation tasks we guarantee that we can make your SQL run significantly faster (10% or more) or we will not charge you.
Do you fix hardware?
We specialise in databases and database driven software. Sometimes that will involve hardware, such as machine sizing or analysing network traffic, but other than that then we suggest you contact a more general IT support company.
What languages do you develop in?
We have developed, and continue to support, systems in a number of languages (such as FoxPro and Centura) but for new development we tend to use Microsoft ASP.net (C#) with SQL Server databases and MS Access.
How do we make contact?
Please use our contact form. We will get back to you within one working day. Please feel free to ask us any question you like using the contact form - we are always happy to help.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We prefer bank transfers (Bank details on our invoices) or alternatively you can pay via PayPal which accepts payments in AUD or USD. Please remember to include your invoice number on all payments so that we can allocate fund correctly.
