A growing property valuation business approached DB Gurus seeking a more scalable solution to replace its spreadsheet-based processes. As reporting requirements became more sophisticated and property data volumes increased, the existing Excel system could no longer efficiently support the organisation’s needs.
The client required a centralised platform that could manage complex property records, support advanced search and filtering capabilities, and generate detailed reports for stakeholders. The solution also needed to accommodate different property groupings and valuation scenarios while improving overall operational efficiency.
The Solution Delivered
DB Gurus developed a custom Property Valuation Solution that modernised the client’s valuation and reporting processes. The project included the migration of data from Microsoft Excel into a structured Microsoft Access database, providing a more reliable and scalable foundation for managing valuation records.
To further improve accessibility and usability, an online portal was developed, allowing users to efficiently manage, update, and access property information. Advanced search and filtering functionality was implemented to support the client’s diverse business requirements, while automated reporting reduced the manual effort required to produce stakeholder reports. The solution also incorporated mapping functionality and leveraged a hybrid architecture using Microsoft Access and SharePoint Lists.
